Dhanraj Kumawat, a dedicated M.Sc. Horticulture student from the School of Agricultural Sciences at Career Point University, Kota, has successfully published his research paper in the International Journal of Horticulture and Food Science (NAAS Rating: 4.74). His study explores how natural farming practices significantly enhance tomato yield and quality under field conditions.

Titled “Impact of Natural Farming Approaches on Productivity of Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum)”, the research was conducted at the university’s Instructional Farm during the 2024–25 kharif season. The study compared nine natural input treatments combining Jeevamrit and Ghanjeevamrit—key bio-formulations of Subhash Palekar’s Natural Farming model.

Why This Matters

The findings validate the efficacy of zero-budget natural farming (ZBNF) practices in increasing productivity without relying on chemical fertilizers. With improved soil health, better water usage, and reduced input costs, these methods support both environmental sustainability and smallholder profitability.

This study also aligns with Career Point University’s mission to promote climate-resilient agriculture through science-based innovation.
